2011 Summer Films Forecast: Winners and Losers (I'm just saying)

According to the MPAA 2010 Annual Report, domestic box office remained stagnant from 2009 to 2010. Foreign sales, though, grew by 13%. This is huge and partly due to explosion in 3D/IMAX in Latin America and developing countries like India and China. Movies that are positioned to target global markets will benefit from this upsurge. While HARRY POTTER and the PIRATES franchises may reap huge benefits, pictures like CAPTAIN AMERICA and maybe even COWBOYS & ALIENS may not fare as well.
